Haan has a fantastic situation at the slopes of the area called "Das Niederbergische". One has from there a splendourful view over a large part of the "Niederrheinischen Tiefebene".
For the nature friend and recovery-needy the Ittertal, which is visited for decades in the summer months by thousand of tourists, is the place to be. In it lies gracefully the castel Casperbroich, in which in earlier times a set of aristocracy sexes lived.
Historically Haan is a special place as you can see by several praehistorische finds particularly protrudes. Axes, hammers and measurer from flint, gallic bronce sword, found there, which reject on an age-old settlement place. The Haaner church belongs to the oldest in the country. It originates from the 10. Century and was sanctified by the holy Kilian.
